About

My name is Terri.  We live in a little blue house that was built in the 50′s. It is actually a really neat story about how we ended up in our house.  There is a couple that leads worship in our church, Ross and Staci, who we have become very close to over the years. We spent countless hours in their living room getting advice on dating, marriage, church, and how to live in true community while we were in college.  Over the years we have become great friends and Ross even officiated our wedding. After we had our first baby, Jackson, we started thinking about buying a home and moving out of our apartment. It turned out that they were going to be moving to another house in town and so we knew there was no other place we would rather call our home and raise our family.  The day we closed on the house we found out we were pregnant with our second, Isabel! This blog is basically just a place to share with our friends and family the stuff that goes on in our little blue house and hopefully I am able to share some of the joy that we experience in it.

A little more about me…I am married to the love of my life Michael who I met while attending college at Texas A&M.

He is my very best friend, and I could not imagine my life without him by my side.  He also is the very talented one that made me this blog.  You can check out his other work here.

We have a little boy named Jackson that is our oldest and a daughter named Isabel. They are 17 months apart, keep us on our toes and love to play.  We are head over heels crazy about our kids and think they are just the best little people around. In college I earned a degree in Sociology at Texas A&M and before having kids I was a social worker helping families with limited income pay for child care so they could go to work. It was definitely tough work, though at times it was very rewarding being able to help families in need.  Now I enjoy staying at home with my two little ones and often sewing while they sleep. I love creating things. It was pretty much born into me.  I don’t know that I can find a female relative in my family that is not gifted in that area. It looks different for all of us whether it be sewing, crafting, gardening, cake decorating, quilting, graphic design, owning a restaurant, selling vintage finds or something else all together. My dad has also always been quite the innovator and instilled in my sister, brother and me a love for putting something together with your own two hands. Creating is definitely something I love that brings me joy and helps keep my stress level balanced. I love teaching my kids how to be creative and is something I look forward to more and more as they are getting a little older and can understand new things each day. Being a wife and mom brings me so much joy and there is nothing else I would currently rather be doing.  Our family loves the Lord and we try our hardest to live our lives in a way that brings him glory. We are also very involved in our local church which you can learn more about here. We are very close with both of our extended families and are so thankful for all the love and support they give us and the encouragement to follow our dreams.
