I am so excited to share about a new company I recently found via Instagram.
Vivora Niko makes the CUTEST chairs for your little ones. (They actually make some pretty sleek ones for adults too, but for today I am going to focus on the little guys!) It is essentially a yoga/exercise ball with a high quality fabric cover made to fit over it. You can find it here if you are interested in getting one of your own.

I have seen a lot of information about the benefits of alternative seating for kids, and had always wanted to try it out for my own little ones. A quick web search on that topic will bring you loads of info on how alternative seating can help with stability, core strength, attention span, sensory processing, and more! I will leave all of that to the experts, since I personally can only speak to my own family’s experience.
What I can say is that we have a wiggle worm that can not for the life of them sit still on their bottom and one that deals with some sensory processing issues, so I was very excited to give these a try.
We decided to get two chairs and I am so glad we did! The kids have had so much fun with these, and I love when I glance over and see our cute little koala and polar bear cub staring back at me.
It was SO hard to decide which animal to get, so I let the kids pick out their favorite. They choose a koala bear and a polar bear cub chair deciding that the polar bear would be for our oldest and youngest to share, and the koala for our two middle kids to share…sounded good to me!
The chairs arrived in a cute little box with instructions on set up.
- Each chair comes with a hand held pump
- Make sure you pump it very full to fill the cover completely
- Line the opening to the outside zipper as you pump (that way you can unzip and add air if needed)
- Zip it up and enjoy!
As a seamstress myself I am a little particular about the craftsmanship of the items in our home. I was really pleasantly surprised with the quality fabric and sewing of the covers. I saw that one person mentioned in a review that they didn’t like the top and bottom seams facing outward instead of inside the cover, but I actually think that is what keeps it from rolling upside down.
Even when the kids aren’t sitting on them they stay upright with the “ears” on top. And my kids haven’t ever mentioned the top seam bothering them. It is all enclosed very nicely and looks very neatly sewn.
We went with the smallest size available (there are two kids sizes and 1 adult size) I am glad we did because even our average height 9 year old can sit comfortably on the smallest size, and our son that just turned 4 is just a tiny bit small for it so it seemed like the most versatile size for our own family. Our youngest can easily get on and off when holding onto something, but he’s still a bit too short to get on it completely unassisted.
The next size up would be a great size if your kids are tween/teen age, or if even an adult that is . They actually offer a height chart to help you pick your size as well.
What do you think? Do you know someone who would love a fun chair like this?
